Vale Palheiro Earth Resort was inspired by the dream of Madalena and Pedro, who imagined this special haven nestled on the steep hillsides of the vibrant Costa Vicentina region—a place they hold dear as one of their favorite spots in the world. 

As curious travelers and passionate learners of different cultures, it was along the banks of the winding river in the expansive valley that their vision of creating a tribute to authenticity and sustainability began to unfold.

From the first moment they saw the valley, they fell in love with its natural beauty and undeniable charm, drawn between the mountains and the sea. The memory of a distant past, kept in the walls of the original buildings, was the starting point for bringing to life this dream of reviving an ancestral method - Taipa construction.
